Debt that is not Dischargeable
A bankruptcy will discharge most unsecured debts, examples of these are credit cards, medical bills, cars that have been repossessed, old checking accounts, and other things that there is not secured idem tied to the debt.
The list of non- discharge able is not that big but debts for these debts might be big ones. Student loans are usually the biggest they run from 5,000 thousand to about 40,000 thousand, child support neither back or present, IRS unless there are certain things that applies, and court order things like spousal support and restitution for something you did.
Because of these few things it does not mean the bankruptcy can,t help you by filing it might free up money to be able to make the payments on these things. After filing the bankruptcy the whole idea is to allow you to be able to rebuild your credit and make the payments on the things you want or need.
