Who files Bankruptcy?
People, And it could be any one your parents, sister-brother,neighbor, boss, co-worker, preacher, doctor, or just about anyone else your could ever meet. A large income all the way to a small income.
Its not about how money you make its all about how much money your not making now. As long as your income is going up or staying the same things are usually fine.
But because of a divorce, medical reason, job change, or a business loss you are making less money. You can not pay the same bills on less money. Some might be able to borrow a little more to keep them going a little further down the road but if things don’t go back to where they were the bankruptcy filing is coming. It could be the chapter 13 first to help save the house and cars, or the chapter 7 surrendering everything that can’t be afforded now. No one can predict the future so all we can do is the best we can and be glad that the bankruptcy laws are there to help if and when things do take take a turn for the worse.
