Fears about Filing Bankruptcy
Every body has fears of what is going to happen after filing a bankruptcy. They are thinking I will never be able to buy a car,house, or anything else on credit. All my neighbors will know. My job will fire me or the new job will not hire me because of the bankruptcy filing.
Based on just the bankruptcy filing none of these things are true or going to happen. With out the bankruptcy filing a lot these things might be true.
Bad credit is worse than a bankruptcy because it will never go away because of new collection agents picking up the loan. If a new employer pulls your credit and it is bad yes he may not hire you but if the bankruptcy is filed then at least you did some thing about the bad credit. Yes you can buy houses, cars, and buy other things on credit after filing the bankruptcy. The most important thing is you having income to allow you to have the money to buy what it is that you are wanting. A house as long as you have been on your job a year after the filing you should not have any trouble. A car you can buy fairly quick the interest rate is what will hurt the first year or so to off set this have a bigger down payment to bargain on interest rates. Credit cards want your business again be patient the offers will come just be sure and read all fine print, and when you receive the card do not miss any payment.
The reason the bankruptcy is happening because something bad has all ready happen to you credit. That is why the term a fresh start is a true statement.
